3 Months

Pictures of Gavin sleeping...just because

Love this little man!

Gavin is trying to sit up on his own. He can stay sitting for a few seconds and then falls over. Gavin can roll to his side and lay on his side, he does it all the time now.

Gavin turned three months this last week! He is getting to be such a big boy! He is getting cuter everyday. Gavin loves to giggle. Gavin's new favorite thing is to look in the mirror and stare at himself, he also thinks he's pretty funny because he cracks himself up! We started to mix a little bit of rice cereal in Gavin's bottle at night before bed. Gavin is such a funny sleeper. He will sleep with his arms straight above his head, or either straight out to the side. Gavin is staying awake a lot longer during the day and he is going longer in between feedings. Gavin loves to sit up in his chair and he loves to see what is going on. Gavin's gums and teething is bothering him pretty bad, but still no tooth! Hopefully one pops up soon to give him some relief. Gavin has grown out of all of his 3 month clothes and wears all 6 month clothes. He will smile on command now, and is a happy giggly little boy. He has been so much fun this last week.

3 Month Stats: 16 pounds & 27 inches

He has grown 6 inches since he was born-holy moly!

Thunder Over Utah Air Show

On our trip in St. George, we went to the Thunder Over Utah air show! It was amazing! I have always loved airplanes, so it was really fun to see the air show. My favorite were the Navy Blue Angels. There were so many people at the air show. The only downside to the air show was the parking and the bathrooms. You had to wait 30-45 minutes in line for a port-a-potty, and they were disgusting! It also took us an hour and a half to get out of the parking lot. Gavin decided to have what we call a "poopxplosion" and he leaked all over his clothes. We had to change him in the parking lot and he got to "drive" the truck for a few minutes.

Spring Break/Las Vegas

For spring break, we headed down to St. George and Las Vegas. Jayden's parents were so kind to watch Gavin for a night so we could have a night in Las Vegas to ourselves. We drove down on Wednesday and got to Las Vegas around 4:30. We stayed at the New York New York. Once Jayden and I checked into the hotel, we wandered around for a bit on the strip, and then rode the Manhattan Express roller coaster. After our roller coaster ride, we went back to our room to get ready for dinner. We ate dinner at a restaurant called Mon Ami Gabi. It is in the Paris hotel. It was one of the best restaruants that we have ever been to! Jayden claims that his steak was the best steak that he has ever had. I would have to agree with him from the bite that he shared with me. After dinner we headed over to the Bellagio to watch the fountains. The next day we slept in (it was so nice to get a full night of sleep!) and checked out of the hotel. We then went to the Shark Reef at the Mandalay Bay, which was so cool! Jayden loves sharks and there were so many swimming right over top of you. After the shark reef, we went to the Bodies exhibit at the Luxor. We then headed back to St. George where we met up with Gavin and the Garfields. We had a great time in St. George. Some of the highlights from St. George were visiting Brigham Young's house, visiting petroglyphs, a glass lava hill, the Air Show ( a separate post on that later), and going out to eat! Overall, it was a fantastic spring break, and a much needed one too!
