Tis the Season!

This week we have been getting our apartment decorated for Christmas. I love how cozy Christmas decorations make a home feel, especially the tree. Here are a few (phone) pictures of our setting up Christmas.

My friend Alyx and I made these cute snowmen for a girls craft night over Thanksgiving weekend. I really liked how they turned out!

Thanksgiving Week

We had a really fun and busy Thanksgiving week. We kicked off the week by going to the Jazz game on Monday night. Drew and his roommate Jon, and their friend Emi drove down from Utah State for the week. We went to dinner at California Pizza Kitchen and then to the Jazz game. Both Jon and Emi are from out of state so they didn't go home for Thanksgiving. It was fun to have them around for the week. On Thanksgiving, we spent the day with both of our families. In the morning, we met Garfield's at the zoo. We then went to the Garfield family dinner in Farmington. After the Garfield dinner, we drove down to Alpine for the Flathers dinner. Both dinners were really good and fun! We were pretty tired by the time we got back home.

On Friday, Drew went through the temple. It was a great day and we are so proud of him! Ryan & Jodi watched Gavin for the day, so we could be apart of his session in the temple. After the temple, we drove up to Pleasant View and spent the night at Garfield's house. Jayden had a flag football game in the morning for his friend's Doug's birthday party. It was fun to see all of his old friends and their wives.

Ready for a photo overload??? Ready or not....here they come!

Most of our Sunday's at church are spent chasing Gavin. The last few weeks we can't even sit through Sacrament meeting. We hang out in the Relief Society room, Luckily we can still hear the meeting through the speakers.

And success is when Gavin falls asleep during church, giving us a little break!

11 Months

So much has changed in the last month for Gavin.

Above are two videos. The first is of Gavin walking and the second is of Gavin and I playing and him laughing.

Gavin is now walking! Yay! He has really taken off this last week. He started walking about 2 weeks ago. We would stand him up and he would take a few steps, but still was pretty wobbly. With a lot of practice, he is now taking anywhere from 10-15 steps at a time. He will stand up next to the couch, or anything he can stand up next to and then let go and walk. He is doing really well.

Gavin got another tooth this month, so he now has 8 teeth. 4 on top and 4 on bottom.

We switched Gavin over from his bottle to a sippy cup. So far he hasn't had any issues, and hasn't asked for his bottle back.

Gavin is the sweetest and most cuddly boy. He gives the best kisses and loves you unconditionally!

Gavin loves music and loves to dance. Anytime he hears music he starts dancing. He can move his booty pretty well! He also loves to play the piano like mommy and daddy.

Gavin weighs 25 lbs. He is wearing size 4 & 5 shoes. He is wearing mostly 18-24 month clothes.

The Great Snowstorm of 2012

Last weekend we got hit with a crazy snowstorm! We live pretty close to the mouth of Parleys Canyon, so we always get hit with more snow than the valley. Our apartment got slammed with snow! Here are some photos from the snowstorm to remember. It started snowing on Thursday night and didn't stop until Sunday afternoon.

Gavin's first experience with the snow. After getting him all bundled up, he wouldn't leave his hat or gloves on, so his hands got really cold! We were back inside within a few minutes of going outside.

We braved the storm on Friday night to try Wing Nutz. The wings were really good! Try the parmesan curry if you ever try it. It was delicious!

Gavin can now drink from a straw! Happy Day!
