A Day at the Aquarium

Today, my Mom, Gavin, and I, went to lunch and then to the Living Planet Aquarium. Gavin is at the stage where he can now interact and get excited about what's going on. He loved the aquarium! His favorite were probably the Otters, but he loved all of the fish. He would follow this one certain fish around out of the whole tank. It was really cute!

Lake Powell 2012

Jayden and I weren't planning on going to Lake Powell this year with my family. We had gone the past two years. We love Lake Powell, but Jayden couldn't take the time off of work, and school was just starting up. I wasn't going to go to Lake Powell without Jayden, so I thought that we would just hear about how it was when my family got back. My little brother Drew was supposed to take a few friends to Lake Powell, but they ended up bailing last minute. They told him Saturday night, and they were to leave Sunday. How crappy is that? Everyone was pretty bummed about it. My parents had rented a big house for the week, and didn't want it to go to waste, and Drew didn't want to go to Lake Powell without anyone else besides my parents. My parents called me Saturday night and asked if I would go. I was hesitant, because I had only spent one night away from Jayden and didn't want to miss his first week of school, but I wanted to go for Drew and have one last family trip to Lake Powell before Drew leaves on his mission.

Lake Powell was a lot of fun. We did miss Jayden like CRAZY! Facetime was a lifesaver though. It was so great to talk to Jayden every night and to have Gavin see his daddy. Gavin did great the whole trip. He was a trooper on the boat. For having to wear his lifejacket the whole time, he did great, and it didn't bug him too bad after he got used to it. The boat would put him to sleep pretty easily, so he took some good naps on the boat. The only downside to the trip was that Gavin didn't sleep well at all, which means we were both sleep deprived. I was pretty tired by the time we got home.

We saw this magazine in a store, and my parents and Drew though it looked like Jayden. Haha I think Jayden is way more attractive than this guys, but I can see the resemblance a little bit.
