Packing my Hospital Bag for Baby #3

Hello! It's been a while! I am hoping to get back into blogging.

I am currently about 37 weeks pregnant with baby #3. This last week I have been packing my hospital bag for myself and for baby. Since this is my 3rd time doing this, I can look back and see what things I want for the hospital that I haven't had in the past. I hope this maybe can help someone who is a first time mom and is wondering what to bring! I'm sure I forgot some things, but this is a basic list of what i will be bringing.

here are some of my essentials.

Here are some essentials for my hospital bag:

  • Maternity Robe:

I bought this maternity robe off of pink blush maternity. It is so cute! I am so excited to wear it after the baby is born in the hospital. It makes me feel pretty and is way nicer than the yucky hospital gowns!

It's on sale right now, and your first purchase from Pink Blush is 15% off.

  • Post partum underwear for the hospital:

As sexy as the mesh granny panties are the hospital gives you (not) they aren't very practical either. I bought myself 2 pairs of underwear that I can wear while in the hospital and they give your tummy support as well.

  • Post partum support band:

I had been researching a few different brands, such as the Bellfit, the Belly Bandit, etc. These all seemed to stiff and rigid, so I went with a less expensive more breathable one. This will be the first time that I have tried one, so I'm excited to see how it will work. It's supposed to help flatter your tummy faster after birth and to hold everything in.

Nursing sleep bra:

Even though your milk doesn't come in until after you leave the hospital typically, I still want to have a soft sleep bra to wear in the hospital.

  • Nursing camisole:

I bought a white nursing camisole to make nursing easier and to wear underneath my robe/lounge clothes

  • Then I packed loose pajama pants, toiletries,  makeup, etc. All of the typical stuff you will need to take care of yourself. Flip flops are nice too when using the restroom and showering

For baby:

  • Boppy pillow

  • Aden and Anais Swaddle Blankets:

I LOVE these blankets. The are perfect for nursing, swaddling, using as a burp cloth, etc.

  • Onesies

  • Blanket sleeper:

  • SwaddleMe newborn sleeper: these are the easiest way to swaddle a newborn. I love that you can either do arms in or out. Gavin and Lily both preferred arms out.

I love the blanket sleepers, especially for newborns, because they make diaper changes so much easier!

  • Pacifiers

  • Carseat

Little booties, hats, and mittens. The newborn mittens are important, because babies tend to scratch their faces while sleeping. I put on a pair before baby goes to sleep and it protects their face

Don't worry about bringing diapers or wipes to the hospital. The hospital will provide you with plenty!

  • A going home outfit
  • Nursing cover/carseat cover
I have been eyeing MilkSnob covers for a while now and I finally got one when they had a sale about a month ago. They are a nursing cover and carseat cover in one. I'm excited to use mine!

Gavin's 4th Birthday Party Gecko Style!

Gavin wanted a "Gecko" themed birthday party. We had to be creative, since there's not a ton of gecko stuff out there!

Lily's 2nd Birthday Trip to Disney!

I am SO behind on blogging, but I am going to try to catch up on some of the highlights of the last few months. Back in November, Lily had her 2nd birthday! We celebrated by going to Disney World! Lily loves Disney and there wasn't a better way to spend her birthday. We drove down Friday her birthday and spent the afternoon at Magic Kingdom. We spent the night in Orlando and spent Saturday at Animal Kingdom. Friday night we went to Mellow Mushroom for dinner and went back to the hotel to Skype our families so they could watch Lily eat cake and open her presents.

ED SHEERAN IN CONCERT!

Jayden and I have now been together for 6 years and we just barely went to our FIRST concert together! We always talk about going to a concert, but something always comes up. I LOVE Ed Sheeran and when I found out he was coming to Orlando, I bought tickets the same day. Orlando is a little over 2 hours away, but we were able to find babysitters for the kids, drive down right before the concert, and back after. It was SO much fun! Ed Sheeran is so talented and it was a blast to see him perform live! One of the best dates we've been on. I had to get a concert shirt too, well because, It's Ed Sheeran!
