WIndshield Wipers

I came across this video today, I had totally forgotten about it! It is from when we were in Hawaii. It was raining, and Gavin thought that the windshield wipers were so funny.

Hawaii-Luau and Train Ride

On Friday night of our trip, we went to a Luau! The Luau was on a plantation which grew acres and acres of tropical fruits, had beautiful trees, and farm animals. There is a train that travels through the plantation. The plantation offers train rides before the Luau, so we boarded the train and took a tour of the plantation. The plantation grounds were really pretty and Gavin really liked being on the train. After the train ride, they dropped us off back at the Luau. We found our table and then the Luau buffet started. The food was really good, especially the pork! We were really close to the stage, so we got a really good view of the Luau. Gavin didn't like the loud noises and all of the action going on, so we had to stand in back with him for some of the time. It was a fun night, and I'm glad we went!

They invited any couples that were on their honeymoon or anniversary to come to the stage and dance. We weren't there for either, but we went anyway.

We left for Hawaii on Monday, June 11th. We first flew from SLC>LAX and then from LAX>Lihue, Kauai. We were nervous about how Gavin would act on his first plane ride ( since everyone just loves a screaming baby for 6 hours), but Gavin was excellent the whole time! He slept for a good majority of the trip on the way over. The only thing I can complain about is that he had a REALLY stinky poopy diaper right as we were starting to descend and land. I'm pretty sure everyone around us could smell it until we got off the plane....Oh well. Gavin did pretty well with the time adjustment. Being that Hawaii is four hours earlier than the time here in SLC, he was cranky the first night or two, but adjusted pretty quick. I am excited to share with everyone our trip and I have a lot of pictures I am really excited about. So with that said, I will be bombarding everyone with Hawaii posts for the next little while and definitely overload with pictures! Stay tuned for more coming soon!
