33 Weeks

How Far Along: 33 weeks and 2 days

Size of the baby: He is getting close to 5 lbs! Wow, no wonder my belly is getting so big.

Maternity Clothes: Now that the cold weather is here, I can wear some of my non maternity tops and sweaters, but for the most part, I wear mostly maternity clothes

Movement: He moves 24/7. I recently read that babies tend to sleep 90-95 percent of the day when in the womb, not our baby! He is constantly moving. Hopefully he will learn how to sleep more when he is here.

Sleep: I have been sleeping alright lately. My sides get really sore and it is hard to keep turning over .

What I miss: Running. I miss running so much, before I became pregnant I ran all the time. Jayden and I go to the gym a couple times a week, but I am pretty limited on what I can do. I will walk on the treadmill or the eliptical, but I can only go for about ten minutes at a time without getting contractions.

Best moment of the week: Our first baby shower! It was so much fun and we got a lot of cute baby things. My ward from SLC is throwing me a shower tomorrow night and I am really excited for it!

Cravings: I haven't had too many strong cravings this week.

We had a doctors appointment last week, and everything is looking great. Baby boy has dropped down quite a bit over the last week and I have been having a lot of pressure and more braxton hicks contractions, so I am hoping this is a sign that he will be here a little bit early.

Here is a comparison of me at 26 weeks and 33 weeks wearing the same outfit. It is amazing at what almost two months can do. I am wondering how much bigger I can get?

All Things Baby

As Jayden and I were laying in bed the other night talking, we realized we are going to be parents in about six weeks. Holy cow! We have known all along that there is a baby growing inside of me and that we will be parents, but as the time is winding down, it is starting to sink in and feel real. Have you ever had a moment where you step back and realized something like that? I still do not think it will hit me completely until I am holding our little guy for the first time. I am really excited for the month of November and what it will bring. I am really looking forward to this weekend because I have my first baby shower! It is going to be so fun to see old friends and to start getting cute little baby things. Speaking of cute baby things, look at how cute these baby booties are. There is also a matching beanie, but it is kind of hard to see in the background. I can't help but spend a few minutes in our nursery each day, just imagining what it will be like to have our little guy here. We are so excited! Time is definitely running out and we are feeling it. We have so much to do between now and finals. Not to mention Thanksgiving and Christmas celebrations and parties. I am hoping he doesn't come before I take my last final, which is less about a week before my due date!

Grateful

Lately I have realized how blessed I am in life. I am so grateful to have a loving husband who is my best friend. I love sharing life with him and all the fun experiences and adventures that we have together. I know that he will be such an amazing dad to our little baby boy.

I am blessed for a loving family who always supports us in everything we do.

I am blessed for a healthy baby boy that is growing inside of me. I am grateful that we have made it this far, and realize we only have a few weeks left! Sometimes I complain about how uncomfortable I am or how my back hurts all the time, but pregnancy has been so easy for me so far. I look at other women who have complications during pregnancy and realize how blessed I am , and need to stop complaining!

I am grateful that I am able to continue and finish my education. Going to school full time, working, and being in your last trimester isn't always fun, but it really isn't that bad. I love the education that I have received at the U and I am proud of myself for being able to graduate in May with a new baby.

I am grateful for the employment opportunities that Jayden and I have, and we have been so blessed in that area.

Pumpkins, Football, and Halloween

This weekend Jayden and I decided to carve pumpkins, since we haven't had the chance to really get into the Halloween holiday this year. Jayden decided to carve in his pumpkin, our little guy from a pic of an ultrasound ( so sweet) and I decided on an owl. Jayden is a lot more detail oriented than I am haha. Saturday we used our MUSS tickets and went to the Utah-Oregon State game. It was the blackout game and it was fun to finally get a win at home. For Halloween this year, I saw a maternity shirt from pinterest (if you have pinterest, you have probably seen it before). Jayden and I decided to add to it, but making our baby a future UTE for the game. It turned out really cute (see pictures below). We entered it into our apartment complex's costume contest, and the office loved it, so we have our fingers crossed!

Fall Maternity Clothes

Now that the fall weather is finally here, I can start wearing warmer clothes. I have been so hot for the last few months, that the cool weather feels amazing. Fall maternity clothes are way better to dress my growing bump in. I feel that fall maternity clothes are a lot more flattering and you can be more stylish. I am particularly liking my outfit that I have on today. I bought this fall coat on sale at the beginning of my pregnancy, I am so happy I finally get to wear it!

31 1/2 weeks

Today I am 31 weeks and 4 days pregnant. Less than 60 days left! This week our little guy has learned a new trick, and no it is not a good one! He thinks its funny to press down on my bladder and punch it as hard as he can, resulting in me having to pee every 15 minutes. I love feeling our little guy move all day long. He is getting so big that I can feel him 24/7 now. This week he has been hiding up in my ribcage, which is very uncomfortable. I can't wait until we can meet our baby boy. We have finished our prenatal classes and we got to take a tour of the Labor and Delivery unit this last week. It made it seem like the time is getting really close! Our baby boy will be full term in less than 6 weeks, so crazy! I hope he comes at about week 39, which would be the week in between finals and Christmas. Once we are finished with finals and on Christmas Break, hopefully we can get labor started! I am actually really excited for the labor and delivery part, that might sound crazy, but I can't wait. My next doctors appointment is a week from today, then I start going every two weeks! I have all of my appointments scheduled from here until delivery, so that is exciting. I can't believe how big my belly is getting, and am wondering how much bigger I am going to get... Here is my almost 32 week belly.
