Washington Oaks and New Smyrna Beach

A few weeks ago, we drove down the coast to meet up with Jayden's two cousins and their families that were visiting Orlando. On the way down, we stopped at Washington Oaks. It is a gorgeous botanical garden right on the water with huge Live Oak trees. We brought a picnic lunch and walked around. It was so pretty!

Then we drove to New Smyrna Beach where we met up with Jayden's cousins. We ate dinner at this really yummy restaurant and then we went to play on the beach. It was raining, but no one seemed to care, because the kids were having so much fun!

Here are pictures from the trip. They are out of order, but you get the gist of it!

Las Vegas!

Last week I fly with the kids out to Las Vegas to spend the week with my family. Every April, my Dad has a conference (NAB) in Vegas so my family usually goes and spends the week there. My parents offered to fly us out to spend the week there. Jayden wasn't able to come because of work so I  it was just me and the kids. There's a nonstop flight from JAX to Vegas which made all the difference flying with kids! Such a lifesaver!

We had a great time! These pictures are out of order, but here are some of the things that we did!

-my dad, drew, and I ran a 4k
-we ate at our favorite restaurants (Mon Ami Gabi, Cheesecake Factory, Bubba Gumps, CPK, and tried a few new ones)

-went swimming
-walked through a few of the hotels including the Bellagio conservatory (our favorite)
-went to the M&M and Coca Cola Factory
-went to the Ethel M's factory tour and cactus garden
-went shopping

It was a great week!
