The Picture

I am very excited for the day off tomorrow. Jayden and I are headed up to the slopes with my little brother Drew as he shows us around Park City. We both haven't been to Park City before for snowboarding. Drew has been getting really good at snowboarding lately. The last time Jayden and I went snowboarding ( Jan 2010) we woke up the next day to our picture in the paper and people saying to us, "we saw your picture in the paper!" We were up at snowbird eating lunch and was approached by someone from the Deseret News asking us if he could take our picture. It was a little awkward because he wanted us to continue to just eat and talk. WELL....this is the picture that was in the newspaper. We both look so weird and I am stuffing this HUGE sandwhich in my face. Although, it isn't the most flattering picture, it is a funny memory and I completely forgot about it until I found it again today. Here is the picture.....

Film

I love film photography. I haven't shot film for a while but yesterday I learned how to scan my negatives into jpg. It so much easier than printing in the darkroom, although I love working in the dark room. Here are some photos of mine from my beginning film photo classes.

Self Portrait

One of my favorite B&W film photos I have taken.

Picture from fall of 2009. All three of us are married now!

Hello Again!

It has been a while since I last posted, things were crazy around the holidays! Now things are a little calmer as the semester is just starting. The break was so much fun. We spent lots of time with family, lots of dates, and went on a mini vaca to Vegas/St. George.  For Christmas Eve we spent the night with the Garfield family. On Christmas morning, Jayden and I did our own thing with opening presents. Then we went to my parents house for Christmas breakfast and dinner. After the holiday festivities, we both needed a little get away, so we stayed in St. George for two nights and then headed to Las Vegas. We spent the day walking around, riding the rollercoaster at NYNY and checked into our hotel. We stayed at MGM grand and saw Cirque Du Soliel. It was a blast!

Growing Up

I was looking through old pictures today and came across a picture from Heathers wedding. I remember going to her wedding reception thinking that this wouldn't be me for years to come. Little did I know that less than a year later, it would!

Traveling

Traveling is a passion of mine. I can't pick just one place to share, so I will share some of my favorites.

This past summer I had the opportunity to go to Uganda on a study abroad. I love Uganda, I love the people and the culture. It is a beautiful country.Later I am going to do a separate post on Uganda and my adventure there with more pictures.

I LOVE Europe. Ireland and Italy are two of my favorites. Oh and London is pretty cool.

Venice! LOVE this city.

Favorite Movies

It is really hard for me to pick favorites. Especially since I have met Jayden, he just likes everything! We watch and go to a lot of movies. The very first time I met Jayden, he invited me over for disney night. Jayden and his roommates would invite people over every sunday night to watch a disney movie. That night we watched Wall E. I felt bet because I played hard to get and wasn't very interested ( just coming out of another relationship). Jayden didn't give up and the next time he invited me over, we were pretty much inseparable. So naturally I love disney movies :)

I really love 80's movies.

  • Ferris Buellers Day Off
  • Better Off Dead
  • Girls just want to have fun
I love comedy's. The movies that are so stupid but you can't stop laughing

  • HOT ROD (the first movie that Jayden and I watched together)
  • Talladega Nights
  • The Ringer
  • Zoolander
  • Drillbit Taylor
I used to HATE chick flicks. Now not so much. I blame it on Jayden hehe

  • PS I Love You
  • 13 Going on 30
  • Father of the Bride
  • The Guardian
I love Indie Movies

  • Bella
  • Under the Same Moon
  • Young Victoria
Jayden and I both love little kid animated movies

  • Madagascar ( Jaydens Favorite)
  • Despicable Me

This makes me smile

The gospel makes me truly happy. Right now I am finishing up President Monsons Biography "To the Rescue", by Heidi Swinton. President Monson is amazing! It has made me love for him grow so much and realize how is just like the rest of us in ways, and how he truly a prophet of God.
