Skinny Pizza:FlatOut Flatbread Artisan Pizzas

This year we are really focusing on our lifestyle to become more active and to eat healthier. I will be posting some of our meals to keep track of the healthy meals that we make and to share things that might be helpful to others. We love pizza, but everyone knows that pizza has a lot of carbs and is high in fat. I wanted to come up with a pizza recipe that doesn't skimp on the flavor of pizza, but that is a healthier option.

I found FlatOut Flatbreads. They only have 160 calories per flatbread, which isn't too bad for the crust of your pizza. We made 3 different pizzas to experiment with different flavors and ingredients. Here is what we came up with

Here are some of the ingredients that we used

I sauteed red peppers, onions, and mushrooms in a hint of olive oil

Grilled some chicken

We used fresh basil

We used stronger cheeses so you could taste the flavor of the cheese without having to use a ton. Gorgonzola and goat cheese are the cheeses we picked. We like strong cheese, so these tasted really yummy on our pizzas

The first pizza we made had a yogurt based blue cheese dressing
brushed on the flatbread with onions, peppers, mushrooms, tomatoes basil, spinach, and goat cheese.

This second pizza was our favorite. It had tomato sauce, chicken, onions, peppers, mushrooms, and goat cheese.

The third pizza we made had olive oil brushed on the flatbread, basil, tomatoes, chicken, gorgonzola, and mozzarella cheese.
