Fourth of July

The night before the Fourth of July, my Dad called me saying that there was a really bad fire in the mountains above their home in Alpine. He said that he would keep me posted, but they were most likely going to be evacuated. A few hours later, they packed up all of their things. We told them that they could come spend the night at our place and celebrate Fourth of July with us. It was fun having them stay over at our place. They stayed for 2 nights. Fourth of July was a lot of fun this year. It was especially fun because it was Gavin's first Fourth of July. In the morning, we went to Blue Plate Diner for an American Breakfast. Later, my mom and dad went back down to Alpine and also to pick up Drew, they took Gavin with them so Jayden and I could go swimming. We hung out at the pool for a few hours and then got ready for evening. Once my family got back, we packed up a cooler and headed down to Sugar house park to BBQ and for the fireworks. Getting to the park was a little hectic, because it was so crowded! Once we finally settled in, we used the BBQ's to grill hamburgers. The fireworks at Sugarhouse park were great, if you haven't been, you should go next year.
