Day 3, Samana

Day 3 was the first stop on our cruise, Samana, in the Dominican Republic. This part of the Dominican Republic is known for its Mangrove trees and caves. We headed off the ship onto a boat where it took us to the national park. On our way over, the weather started to change really quickly and we got caught in a flash rainstorm, but it didn't last too long. Before you knew it the sun was back out again. The weather changed so fast, it was pretty amazing. Once we arrived at the National Park we walked around to see the Mangroves and our guide took us inside a couple of caves. The Mangrove trees were incredible! They are such dynamic trees. It was definitely a highlight of our trip. Then the boat took us to a beach where most people from the cruise ship were. We had about an hour there to relax, soak up some sun, and go swimming. It was a gorgeous beach, the water was so blue!
